DEVELOPER / SOUND DESIGNER / COMPOSER
Martin Penberthy is a Pacific Northwest based developer, sound designer and multi-genre composer. He graduated from DigiPen Institute of Technology with a BA in Music and Sound Design and has completed an AAS in Computing and Software Development at Lake Washington Institute of Technology.
Having taken programming classes as electives at DigiPen he has experience in a wide range of fields of development from software to creative applications. His main focus has been on creating audio plugins for use in various DAW's including guitar amp simulators and waveshapers utilizing the JUCE framework and C++. He also has experience in multiple programming languages from C/C++ to JavaScript to PureData creating a variety of projects from websites to audio visualizers.
Martin also specializes in music and sound design for linear and non-linear media such as films and games. He has contributed to four DigiPen game projects, two of which were showcased at the DigiPen PAX West 2016/2017 booths. He also works as a sound designer and composer for Windup Audio. Martin has a broad skill set including guitar (classical/rock/metal/blues), orchestral composition, live recording, game audio middleware (Wwise/FMOD) and electronic composition
